The positive kids

HIV remains one of the greatest pandemics in history, having claimed more than 34 million lives so far. More than 1.8 million children under 15 now live with HIV worldwide, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa. For the last 10 years, thanks to early diagnosis and the deployment of antiretroviral therapy, African children infected with HIV have been able to deal with the illness not as a death sentence, but as a chronic disease.
